As one of Australia’s leading independent day and boarding schools, Tara Anglican School for Girls is a specialist in girls’ education and has an outstanding reputation for preparing young women to achieve in a dynamic world.
My name is Jaskirit, and I feel deeply privileged to undertake the role of Head Girl for the 2023-2024 school year.
Our Junior School, Senior School and Eggleton House Boarding (Years 5–12) facilities are on one campus, encouraging interaction across the School. Boarders are at the heart of the School and contribute fully to its daily life; to study, perform, create and explore.
Established in 1897, Tara has 127 years experience in educating young people in the Parramatta and Hills region of Sydney. We are a school with a rich history.
Tara’s School Council acts as guardians of the past, present and future of the School, and is the steward of the School’s name and reputation. In this respect, its role is like that of a board of a company or not for profit organisation.
Tara has state of the art facilities, committed resources and excellent academic programs tailored to the individual and how girls learn best. Our students are talented, accomplished and keen to pursue their abilities.
Tara places an emphasis on holistic development where every student is cared for, challenged and equipped to live out the distinctive values of the School. Our purpose is to be a Christian learning community, characterised by excellence, which encourages and empowers all students.
The role of the Publications Office at Tara is to highlight the many achievements of our girls and community through a number of timely publications.
The Principal is committed to the employment of highly qualified, innovative and enthusiastic staff who fully support the Christian ethos and contribute to the extra curricular programs of the School.
